Qualifications:

- Safety conscious, ensuring a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
- Supervisory experience related to this scope of work
- Ability to work continuously for extended periods of time under set deadlines, collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently with little supervision
- Strong decision making, communication and problem solving skills
- Knowledge and experience in road construction including sub grade prep, grades, survey and layout
- Experience with finish operation of grader and sub-grade stabilizing

Job Overview and Responsibilities
- Participate in daily field level hazard assessments, filling employee timesheets, safety reports and other reports as required
- Provide effective leadership, development and training to crew members
- Ability to direct crew and work closely with subcontractors to efficiently deliver on project expectations and timelines
- Operate a variety of base equipment safely and proficiently
- Calculate and coordinate equipment and material required per project
- Interact in a professional and courteous manner with the public
- Requires a flexible work schedule including overtime, weekend and out of town work as required during the construction season (May - November)
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned
