**Qualifications**
- Demonstrated experience operating paving and construction equipment (e.g., pavers, rollers)
- Strong knowledge of asphalt paving processes and road construction
- Ability to read plans/blueprints and calculate material needs
- Supervisory experience in a construction or heavy civil work
- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License (required)
- Safety-focused with strong communication and leadership skills
- Physically fit and capable of performing labour intensive tasks
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines
- Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and travel as required during construction season (May-November)

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and work alongside crew members to complete daily paving activities
- Operate heavy equipment as required to support project completion
- Assign tasks and monitor progress to meet project goals and deadlines
- Calculate material requirements and coordinate equipment
- Conduct daily safety meetings, complete hazard assessments and reports
- Train and mentor crew on equipment use and paving techniques
- Maintain daily records (timesheets, equipment, materials)
- Communicate and collaborate with Project Managers and subcontractors to meet project requirements
- Represent the company in a courteous and professional manner when interacting with the public
