**Product Manager Responsibilities**:
**Portfolio Management**
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
- Drive product launches including working with the xperigo marketing team, executives, and key stakeholders
- Manage the entire product line life cycle from sunsetting legacy products to prototyping and testing new features/products and ideas.
- Ensuring the product line performs in line with expectations, as per defined KPIs and Annual Business Plans
- Know why we are winning and losing in the market, and drive changes to our product and processes to create improvement.
- Leading the continuous improvement of the Xperigo product line
- Be an expert for the product with an understanding of the product as it is today and a vision for where the product needs to go in the future
- Collaborate with other stakeholders such as sales & marketing on the creation of positioning for your products.
- Conducting customer interviews and user testing
- Identify customer needs and business opportunities through a combination of user research, collecting feedback from cross-functional teammates, diving into data, and competitive analysis.
- Drive efforts to track, analyze, and gain insights from data generated from the use of each product or feature
**Competitive/Market Intelligence**
- Assess market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
- Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
- Obtain product market share by working with Account Executives to develop product sales strategies.
- Assesses product market data by calling on customers and evaluating performance results.
- Analyze various market segments and collaborate with leadership to choose the best ones to pursue.
- Keep a finger on the pulse of our competition, and develop strategies and tactics to reduce the threat.
**Product Development**
- Bring new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.
- Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
- Drive the delivery of solutions and enhancement
- Identify opportunities to improve and enhance the Xperigo customer experience
- Create user stories for current and future products based on the market’s problems.
- Partner with Project Managers and Technologists to align on project delivery timelines
**Product Planning & Roadmaps**
- Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
- Develop and drive the annual product roadmap as directed by executive leadership
- Prioritize effectively, balancing business value with time criticality, opportunity enablement, and risk reduction
- Develop a three-year roadmap for our products to illustrate our vision and plan into the future.
- Develop and maintain business proposals / Business Cases that make a compelling case for continued investment into your products.
- Drive buy-build-partner analysis, and where necessary, review potential partner relationships for the product.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to customize solutions for our clients in an efficient way, while maintaining consistency and integrity of the product
**Education and Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or IT discipline or related field or up to 3+ years equivalent experience.
- Product Manager Certification an asset
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
- Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
- Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
- Business Acumen - Ability to perform with insight, acuteness, and intelligence in the areas of commerce and/or industry. Makes decisions and acts in situations in which there is not enough information to be certain of outcome or implications of the decision.
- Conceptual Thinking - Finding effective solutions by taking a holistic abstract or theoretical perspective.
