You will be employed in the position of Purchasing Manager. Other positions, duties, and responsibilities may be assigned to you from time to time, consistent with your qualifications and experience. The Purchasing Manager will provide general support across multiple critical business functions including supporting individual Mobile Bike Shops with ongoing ordering, assisting with strategic/corporate purchasing, vendor setup + management, etc. This is a dynamic role, touching many key areas of business and requiring great analytical and interpersonal skills to be successful. This role will support current and future markets operating across North America. This role will work to be highly proactive on purchasing and initiatives. **Responsibilities**: Assist with strategic network-wide purchasing initiatives and new programs, anywhere management deems involvement and expertise has key strategic value (i.e. DIRECT/Build partner programs, ecommerce initiatives, corporate partnerships, franchise partner network support etc.) - Responsible and accountable for performing ongoing daily/weekly ordering and purchasing to fulfill the needs of all corporate Mobile Bike Shops - Lead process development, implementation, and training of all procurement related SOP's - Lead (and develop where necessary) onboarding + training modules for new RST's entering the network - Lead in-field procurement related initiatives and SOPs with RST's (i.e. quarterly inventory counts/audits, consumables reconciliation) - Work and support the Inventory Management team to understand and develop "optimal level" of total inventory to be held per MBS, and work proactively to move inventory within network when necessary to maintain normalized levels of inventory across all shops - Assist with identifying optimal product "turns" per MBS, and monitor all business units against this benchmark - Assist with aging/ "dusty" inventory, and assist with liquidating through appropriate means - Continually monitor and evaluate SKU spread, and suggest replacements, substitute, removals, additions etc. on an ongoing basis - Perform ongoing analysis and evaluation of corporate and network purchasing requirements - End-to-end ownership around purchase order management including ensuring purchase orders are created, submitted to vendors, orders are checked in and finished once landed - Perform ongoing audits of PO's in all phases and take necessary actions to ensure they can be completed and closed - Procurement support for all new launches and pre-opening requirements of new MBS's being deployed - Leverage historical data + ongoing analytics, work to understand individual MBS ordering requirements, and deliver suggested orders to RSTs for final reviews - Perform order consolidation and optimization in territories where multi-MBS operations exist - Work with RST's on an ongoing basis to assist with the procurement of customer special order requests - At times, when necessary, 1:1 with individual customers on special order requirements and need - Perform ongoing evaluations of vendor network, to ensure that the breadth and depth of access to product is appropriate - assist in onboarding new vendors where necessary and make recommendations to management for optimizing purchasing margins - Conduct all buying decisions based on vendor preference, availability, price, timeline etc. - Communicate with RSTs daily for: item SKU information, creating POs, editing POs, receiving inventory questions for RST, vendor, freight company, etc. item availability info from any vendor, compatibility help for any product, vendor information of any kind, PO ETA’s, order and receiving SOP, transferring inventory to another MBS, breaking down inventory, inventory discrepancies, tracking shipments down, etc. - Communicate with freight forwarding companies on logístical issues - Communicate with storage facilities on shipments arriving, office hours, logístical issues of any kind - Assist with product vendor returns, and CX warranty returns/issues where applicable - Advise management team on common issues/errors within Lightspeed POS, RSTs, inventory management, or it's functionality - Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned to you from time to time, consistent with your qualifications and experience. **Education, Training and Experience** - Bachelor’s degree or Certification in a Supply Chain related discipline - Minimum of three years’ strategy in a similar position - Knowledge of and experience with supply chain principles, strategic buying, abc analysis, turns, counts, etc. - Experience working in a range of teams and managing complex stakeholder environments **Who you are** - Friendly, positive and respectful attitude: we are looking for someone who will fit right in with the team - Entrepreneurial mindset - Strong work ethic.
