We are seeking entry-level Geo Analytics Specialists to support the data science team discover actionable business ideas that will help Fortune 500 executives transform their organizations, people and business outcomes. This role enables you to explore your intellectual curiosity in a collaborative, team-based environment. What you’ll do
- Advise team on geospatial analyses and visualizations.
- Collect data from various sources to populate geographical databases. Sources include geo-mapping for diverse countries.
- Geocoding - develop and maintain geo-mapping versions into database to maintain geo-mapping roadmap
- Develop data visualization dashboards, interactive web-maps, storyboards that help to communicate complex data into high quality visual outputs
- Execute and deliver insights to the data science teams by owning all or part of an analytics module
- Conduct data exploration, quantitative research and provide customized analytical solutions and insights to meet product requirements
- Be a key member of the data science team and contribute to the entire project life cycle from conception to completion.

What you’ll need
- A Bachelor’s degree in Geography / Urban Planning / Urban Studies with 0-3 years of experience in academic or applied research utilizing qualitative and quantitative data.
- Ability to analyze spatial data using mapping software like ArcGIS/QGIS/MapInfo is a must.
- Experience in designing digital maps with geographic data and other data sources.
- Good understanding of Coordinate Systems/Projection Systems
- Strong interest in countries’ geographies, their economic situation and culture
- Familiarity with data manipulation techniques (Knowledge of R, SQL or Python will be a plus)
- Strong business acumen and intellectual curiosity in order to process and understand information quickly, as well as diagnose issues to make actionable recommendations.
- Experience converting qualitative and quantitative information into clear frameworks, narratives and visually compelling presentations for senior Gartner managers and clients.
