**Job Purpose**

Accountable to the Principal Owner, Spruce Business Consulting, the Human Resources Consultant is responsible to take on and assist with many interesting and challenging human resource projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Under the direction of the Owner, provide a full range of general human resources services including but not limited to:
1. Conduct full cycle recruitment including; Screening, scheduling, interviewing, and processing and boarding employees

2. Creating and developing job descriptions, policies and procedures, performance management systems, compensation and metrics based analysis reports.

3. Conduct employee and labour relations services, as required.

4. Assist with and use various software systems.

5.Ensure ethical and professional conduct.

**Qualifications**

Business Degree with concentration in Human Resources or relevant field and (5) five years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A CPHR or other relevant designation is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of Human Resources functions such as such recruitment, performance management, and HR best practices.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of human resources policies and procedures.
- Some demonstrated project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and technical writing skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work flexible work hours.

Salary will commensurate with experience.
