Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, IT Quality Assurance, the IT QA Team Lead is responsible for supporting the daily activities of the IT QA team across the complete testing lifecycle. This role will lead in the creation of test plans, breakdown and execution of work, review of results, and escalation of showstoppers. The IT QA Team Lead will have the opportunity to support in the modernization of Sagen’s QA approach through input on the design and buildout of our automation framework. This role will work closely with IT project managers, business analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure quality assurance and testing best practices are adhered to.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the Manager, IT Quality Assurance with oversight of the day-to-day activities of IT QA team members, with emphasis on operational excellency over KTLO deliverables.
- Assistance with the training and development of the IT QA team.
- Input onthe development of Sagen’s automation framework, tool selection and automated software procedures.
- Review of test deliverables, management of defects and validation over the completeness and accuracy of testing documentation.
- Collection and reporting of relevant metrics. Work within an agile team to deliver innovative software solutions.
- Review requirement documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Ensure deliverables meet business requirements and there are no adverse effects on the existing production business environments.
- Participate in cross functional projects as required.

Skills and Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A solid understanding of QA methodology and the software testing lifecycle.
- 5+ years demonstrated experience as an IT Quality Assurance Tester or similar role, possessing a solid understanding of software testing, both manual and automated.
- Working knowledge of test management software with demonstrated ability to create / maintain automation test scenarios.
- Solid knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Ability to multi-task and work and deliver on simultaneous projects under tight deadlines.
- Creative, independent, self-motivated, and quick to learn new technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in understanding business processes, system functionality & integration.
