**What You’ll Do**

Gyptech is seeking a **Quality Assurance/Maintenance Technician** to join our team. Your role will report to the Plant Manager:

- Responsible for implementation and maintenance of quality standards through testing, inspection of materials and products
- Development and self performance of a Preventative Maintenance plan for the Oakville plant
- Audit of existing systems and procedures and continuous involvement in manufacturing process to achieve the company goals of conformance to specifications, customer satisfaction and maximum profitability
- Perform inspection of purchased components, in-process audits during manufacturing of products, final inspection of all outgoing products
- Perform required performance testing on in-process and final products
- Assist in creating job specific work instructions and checklists
- Record and participate in investigation of non-conformances
- Provide feedback to and work together with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering and Project Management teams to maintain the highest level of quality
- Participate in continuous improvement and workplace safety efforts
- Some travel may be required
- Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time

This position is based out of our manufacturing facility in Oakville. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm (or 5am to 3:30pm) with some overtime required.

**What You Offer**
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in the quality assurance and maintenance fields
- Mechanical Engineering background and education strongly preferred
- Excellent ability to read blueprints, shop and fabrication drawings
- Must have a strong attention to detail
- Experience with performance testing of heavy machinery is an asset
- Team player, able to interact with other departments and coach manufacturing personnel
- Well organized, able to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment
- Customer Service oriented and Lean Manufacturing focused
- Persuasive, encouraging and motivating
- Strong ability with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Quality certification or training preferred
