Your Opportunity:
Description:
As a Working Leader - Service Worker, you will be responsible for providing daily leadership to Service Worker staff such as assigning and checking their work, maintaining workflow of the assigned area and providing input into staff performance appraisals. You will act as a formal resource to staff, assist with the day-to-day operational requirements for the area and assist in the orientation and training of new staff. In addition, you will direct, monitor, and ensure the coordination of a centralized system of dispatching supplies and equipment to patient care areas. Where applicable, you will also direct and monitor a centralized system for the transportation of patients (clients/residents) to and from patient care areas within a site.

Grade 12 or equivalent.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Preference will be given to applicants with Supervisory/Management Courses/Certificates or equivalent, and/or prior leadership experience. Knowledge of AHS Linen & Environmental Services policies, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures is preferred. Knowledge of floor care restoration, cleaning equipment and tools, including their uses, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting, is preferred as this role maybe required to provide in-scope leadership for Environmental services.
