Mon Pitou Bistro & Bakery is hiring a Kitchen All-Rounder to join our team in Vancouver. This role emphasizes sandwich-making and baking activities.
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare, bake and cook menu items as directed
- Execute sandwich orders during prime lunch hours
- Execute morning bake-off for fresh pastries
- Prepare catering orders
- Prepare meals and meal kits (vacuum seal, labelling, packaging)
- Assemble products for the retail program (salad bowls, rice bowls, etc)
- Adhere to all sanitation codes, such as deep clean duties
- Assist with dishwashing
- Set up and breakdown station before or after service
- Receive orders through thorough inspection and proper storage
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Commit to a 6 am start or earlier (for applicable shifts)
- Commit to at least 3 days/week (Saturday & Sunday mandatory, non-negotiable)
- Flexible availability to cover more days when needed is a bonus
- FoodSafe level 1 certification (mandatory, non-negotiable)
- At least 1 year of baking experience is preferred
- At least 2 years of cooking experience is mandatory (hot station)
- Familiar with kitchen equipment usage
- Attentive to detail and quality while multitasking
- Reliable, punctual and independent
- Holds a work permit in Canada
