Ontario Health’s Patient before Paperwork (Pb4P) team is seeking a motivated and skilled Analyst to support the Pb4P program. This role will focus on a large-scale, provincial digital health initiative aimed at improving primary care across Ontario. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will support qualitative and quantitative evaluations of digital health tools, analyze healthcare data, and developing insights that will support the optimization of health care delivery. Reporting to Manager, Primary and Community-Based Care, and working closely with the Measurement and Evaluation Lead and Project Managers across OH, you will collaborate with stakeholders to create actionable data models, identify trends, and help shape the future of Ontario's healthcare system.
Here is what you will be doing:
- Support the design and implementation of quantitative and qualitative evaluations, as well as quality improvement & research methodologies, for large-scale initiatives- Conduct literature searches and environmental scans to assist in protocol development- Collaborate with external vendors and partners to develop statements of work, coordinate evaluation activities, and support regular meetings to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables- Perform statistical analyses using Microsoft Excel to identify trends and patterns and develop targets and forecasts- Support the development of performance metrics for digital tools in Ontario- Create clear, concise, and impactful dashboards, visualizations and presentations to communicate findings to non-technical audiences and inform decision-making- Leverage data analysis and visualizations to present to diverse audiences through compelling narratives- Ensure accuracy and completeness of reported data, figures, and tables- Support the development of reports, other knowledge transfer products that summarize research findings and present recommendations- Participate in meetings with stakeholders, including clinicians, to review findings and assess the impact of data-driven solutions- Maintain project plan and other documentation and raise and monitor project risks- Assist with the preparation and presentation of findings to leadership and external partners- Coordinate and facilitate working group meetings and ensure effective communication with cross-functional teams
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience- A bachelor’s degree in Health Services Research or a related field.- A master’s degree is an asset.- At minimum 3-4 years of experience in data analysis or research, preferably within healthcare or a related domain.- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel including data cleaning, modeling and visualizations.
Knowledge and Skills- Knowledge in performance measurement, metrics and reporting.- Strong experience with large-scale data sets and ability to create data models for forecasting and trend analysis.- Experience in working with large, complex datasets and conducting quantitative research is preferred- Knowledge of other Microsoft products (e.g. Word, PowerPoint)- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
