**About the Job**

As an Equipment Operator at our Walker Compost Facility location in Arthur, ON, you will be running a variety of heavy equipment such as wheel loaders, bulldozers, portable grinders, skid steers and screening equipment. The incumbent will participate in the safe and efficient operation of equipment, adhering to all operational procedures at the site. This is a full time position on the afternoon shift (Monday-Thursday, 3:30 pm-2am), reporting to the Compost Shift Supervisor. The starting rate is $25.49/hour.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Run equipment such as wheel loaders, skid steers and bulldozers.
- Complete accurate equipment preoperational inspections.
- Shovel and cleanup around equipment following operating procedures.
- Perform minor maintenance on mobile and portable equipment, greasing, component cleaning following operating procedures.
- In the Gore Cover Composting System work with covers, sand hoses/boards and securement system for covers. This area also requires some manual cleanup and cleaning of air channel openings, placement of water addition sprinklers and from time to time making repairs to rips or damages to covers and air channel cleaning.
- Safely and efficiently, operate water truck supplying water to storage tanks and surface dust control.
- Other tasks as assigned.

**Here’s What You Need**
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment in an agricultural, construction or landscaping is a strong asset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and teamwork.
