Walker Environmental, a division of Walker Industries, is a leading resource recovery and waste management company. The company owns and operates landfills, waste transfer and haulage facilities, biosolids processing plants, composting facilities, food/residual organic processing facilities and landfill gas renewable energy projects throughout Canada. Our product brands, created from the recovery of resources often considered waste, include N-Rich®, All Treat Farms® and Gro-Bark®.

**Equipment Operator**

We’re looking for equipment operators to run a variety of heavy equipment such as wheel loaders, bulldozers, portable grinders, and screening equipment. Rotating through a variety of machines and duties means there’s lots to do and learn while working in a fast paced environment.

The best equipment operators are smart, keep themselves organized, respect the equipment while taking special care to do a good job. They are good teammates and don’t mind getting a bit dirty on an outdoor job.

Ideally, you have training or experience running heavy equipment. If you don’t, we offer training for people with great aptitude and attitude.

**Shifts & Wages**

We run three shifts:

- Morning - Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Afternoons - Monday to Thursday, 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Weekends - Friday to Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Starting wage for the position is $23.00/hour, graduating to $27.00/hour over the course of time, with hourly shift premiums for working the afternoon or weekend shift. The total compensation package also includes full group benefits, company pension, and many other industry-leading Walker benefits.
