**Job Overview**

Buddies Yard Care Ltd. is looking for an experienced and dependable **Skid Steer Operator** to join our winter snow removal team. The operator will be responsible for clearing snow from commercial and residential properties using a skid steer equipped with snow pushers, buckets, or blades. This role requires precision, strong situational awareness, and the ability to perform efficiently during night and early morning shifts.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Safely operate a skid steer to clear parking lots, drive lanes, and other designated areas during and after snowfalls.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of all cleared areas according to company standards.
- Perform pre
- and post-shift inspections on equipment; check fluids, tire pressures, and attachments.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate site completion and efficiency.
- Ensure equipment is fueled and ready before each shift.
- Report mechanical issues or damages immediately.
- Assist with loading, salting, and sanding operations as needed.
- Adhere to all safety and operational protocols while working around vehicles, pedestrians, and buildings.
- Complete work logs, site checklists, and time sheets accurately.

**Qualifications**
- **Minimum 2 years of experience operating a skid steer for snow clearing (required).**:

- Valid **Class 5 driver’s license** (Class 3 or higher an asset).
- Strong understanding of snow removal techniques and equipment operation in winter conditions.
- Ability to work long, irregular hours during snow events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- Capable of working independently and in a team environment.

**Working Conditions**
- Outdoor work in cold, snowy, and icy conditions.
- Shift hours generally between **6:00 PM and 7:00 AM**, depending on snowfall.
- On-call availability required for snow events.
- PPE and company-branded outerwear provided or required.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $19.41-$32.65 per hour
