Equine Farm Maintenance

**Scope**:
This position is under the direct supervision of the Youth Lodge Program Manager, and overall supervision of the Executive Director. This position will mainly work at the 4Windz Farm and support Enaahtig’s Youth Lodge on a need basis. This role is essential in ensuring that our facility is well-maintained, safe, and conducive to the healing process.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with daily chores, i.e. mucking stalls, feeding horses (hay or grain), water, as needed.
- Assist with pasture management, as needed.
- Minor building repairs, i.e. fencing, shelters etc.
- Maintain equipment, tools and supplies and ensure in good working condition.
- Maintain the grounds, i.e. lawn cutting, whipper snipping, snow removal.
- Maintain fuel logs and supply of fuel.
- Ensure grounds are safe due to legal requirements of Youth Lodge, i.e. sharps locked away, fuel not accessible etc.
- Assist Youth Lodge with maintenance, when required.
- Attend internal meetings, as required.
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience working with small and large animals, i.e. chickens, goats and horses.
- Experience working on a farm setting.
- Knowledge of small machines.
- Must be willing to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid, NVCI and other trainings as required.
- Be a role model in the community.

Pay: $43,000.00-$45,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
