**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Develops collection strategies and monitors past dues while developing standards, improvements, or changes to positively impact past dues and customer service levels.
- Manages daily collection activities for assigned portfolio of customers, including but not limited to, reviewing past due accounts, and making recommendations for escalation.
- Recommending and supporting AFDA balances, monthly.
- Collects payments from customers.
- Communicates with customers regarding payment status.
- Generates refund requests.
- Monitors accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Researches and resolves invoice discrepancies and customer issues.
- Corresponds with customers and responds to inquiries.
- Contacts and develops relationships with past due clients.
- Proactively manage deteriorating trends and report any potential loss exposures in a timely manner.
- Works with internal departments to handle collection service levels for the largest and most sensitive customer accounts.
- Processes and post credit card payments on account
- Set up customers in document delivery.
- Monthly reporting on all accounts over 60 days.
- Credit overrides to a maximum of 10k, anything above this amount to Credit Managers for approval.
- Match dollar for dollar invoices to clear invoices on AR accounts.
- Reviews payment errors and provide customers with any documents needed to clear errors.
- Assist with audits.
- Back up coverage for other collectors.
- Advising Credit Managers of any accounts they wish to have discussed at monthly industry meetings.

**Required Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years collection experience including knowledge and understanding of rules/regulations related to collection, repossession, bankruptcy, and litigation.
- Strong problem-solving and effective negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills paired with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and other employees at all levels of the organization.
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and follow through while maintaining a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.

**Asset Qualifications**
- Post secondary education in finance, accounting, business administration or related field is considered an asset.
- Dealership experience is considered an asset.
