**Job Summary**
Barnstormer Brewing and Distilling Company is a restaurant and retail store located in beautiful Alliston Ontario. We are looking for the right individual to join our team as the Front of The House Manager of Hospitality. As the Front of the House Manager of Hospitality you would be responsible for the brewpub restaurant and retail store.
**Personal Requirements**:
We’re looking for an experienced FOH Manager with experience in managing all FOH operations.
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience
- Experience with craft beer, being part of craft beer scene a plus
- Passionate about food, and drink. Desire to provide an exceptional guest experience.
- Desire to lead, coach and mentor all team members. As well as the desire for personal growth, to continue to learn and develop within our company. Passion and knowledge are key elements for us to be leaders in our industry.
- Experience managing both front of house and back of house staff is an asset.
- Formal hospitality education or a great experiential learning background
- Great communicator and able to multitask, take initiative, and work under mínimal supervision.
- Ability to supervise subordinate staff, including, but not limited to, assignment of duties, evaluating service, appraising, and taking disciplinary action when necessary
- Able to lift to 70lbs, climb stairs, climb ladders, sit, stand, and crouch
- Able to work 44 hours week. Including weekdays, weeknights, weekends and late nights
- Enjoys craft beer and craft spirits environment and culture
- Cicerone Certified. If not already certified must be willing to become certified upon employment within our company.
**Job Duties**:
- Ensure that brand standards for all product and food quality, food safety, service, cleanliness, maintenance and health and safety are being met at all times.
- Will report directly to the General Manager. Will work closely with the GM to develop and execute strategies to continually improve sales, service, food quality, community involvement and operational performance.
- Manage, coach and mentor all team members in a positive work environment, while promoting a work environment that is safe and built on mutual trust and respect, that continues to be always guest focused.
- Will be 100% guest focused at all times. Always committed to providing a great guest experience and building relationships within our community to build a loyal clientele
- Responsible for bar inventory. Able to calculate and control both bar and labour costs.
