Greenhouse operation that grows, decorates, markets, and ships plants, flowers, and trees to retail chain-stores across the United States and Canada.
- **The position**:_
Supports the warehouse team by performing various tasks in the inbound and outbound shipping of mass produced ornamental potted plants in a commercial greenhouse.

Manage docks and oversee loading of trucks; both local and long-haul.

Work with warehousing manager to maintain stock of materials.
- **Work Schedule**:_

Full time (Monday to Friday [8am to 5pm]), plus additional weekly hours during peak shipping period (February-May; November-December)

Saturday work required during the peak shipping period (February-May; November-December)

30-minute lunch - unpaid; and 2 X 15-minute breaks each day - paid
- **Sample of responsibilities**:_

Pack finished goods, label cases, perform piece counts, wrap pallets.

Ensure loading is accurate and performed safely, at the case level and pallet level.

Stage pallets of product optimally for efficient, accurate loading.

Operate a forklift to move pallets and other materials for production.

Perform Quality Control tasks ensuring assembly setup and finished assembly is accurate.

Perform all job tasks on time, with efficiency and with mínimal errors.

Communicate with and support drivers, outbound assembly teams, and other cross-functional teams.

Assist in determining root causes for errors reported by production staff and customers.
- **Requirements**:_

Experience (minimum 1 year) operating forklift equipment.

Proficient in English, verbal and written.

Solid mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, etc.).

Strong problem-solving skills.

Adherence to all health and safety protocols.

Ability to meet physical demands of job - walking, stooping, standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), pushing, pulling, climbing stairs and ladders.

Personal transportation (location not serviced by public transport).
- **Assets**:_

Experience operating farm tractor, minimum 1 year.

Experience in a warehouse/production/logistics setting.

Greenhouse/Live Goods (produce, plants, farm, etc.) work experience.

Speak Spanish.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
