**Position Summary**:
The Long Point Region Conservation Authority is seeking two (2) Pool /Maintenance Workers. Reporting to the Conservation Area Supervisor, this position will provide a clean and safe recreational opportunity for guests. These positions will be up to (12) weeks in length.

**Qualifications**:

- Outgoing personality and excellent communication skills
- Able to work cooperatively in a team framework
- Must be responsible and safety conscious
- Must be willing to commit to the full duration of the work assignment
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR “C”
- Current NLS Certification an asset
- A negative Criminal Records and Judicial Matters check (CRJMC) for those 18 years of age or older only
- A valid driver’s license is an asset

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all health & safety standards are met at all times
- Proficient knowledge of emergency procedures and use of equipment
- Perform daily gate duties, such as issuing day-use and campsite permits, registering guests, receiving and responding to incoming phone calls, using the reservation system, proper collection of user fees occurring to the Conservation Area, and be accountable to the Conservation Area Supervisor for all such revenues
- Carry out all assigned duties in accordance with accepted safety practices
- Care and maintenance of pool and facilities
- Carry out a wide variety of maintenance tasks to Conservation Area pool area facilities including sanitary duties such as cleaning washrooms and garbage collection, etc.
- Assist all guests/staff and ensure their safety at all times
- Report all accidents/incidents, problems or concerns to the Supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Location/Working Conditions**:

- Backus Heritage Conservation Area, Port Rowan, ON
- Varied shifts, must be available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- All successful applicants must possess their own Green Patch CSA approved safety boots, be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and with all outdoor flora and fauna
- Available to work the duration of the season.
- Some heavy lifting is required
- Outdoor working environment
