**Job Summary**

Xis Manufacturing is currently looking for a full-time Field Measurer. The Field Measurer is responsible for performing onsite measurements of removable soft-covered insulation blankets. The Field Measurer is also responsible for blanket installation to ensure all field drawings and measurements are correct in complying with customer standards and specifications. This position is responsible for reading and verifying dimensions on general assembly drawings, P&ID and ISO's to identify type of necessary blankets and arranging the field drawings according to the system, area and location.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
- Actively participates in, and complies with, the workplace safety program
- Plans day-to-day activities while on site to manage project scope and customer requirements
- Completes and estimates new work orders
- Ensures blueprints are read and interpreted correctly
- Completes analysis and interprets isometrics, blueprints and general assemblies to determine exact location of valves, flanges, equipment and instruments that need to be measured
- Completes onsite measurements
- Coordinates with on-site client representative to verify scope of work
- Coordinates the day to day field operational activities
- Safely travels to and from jobsites
- Works with the shop floor employees to ensure blankets are made to the customer requirements
- Ensures regular updates are submitted to the team and supervisor(s)
- Attends project coordination and technical discussions
- Creates progress reports on client projects and scope
- Safety is everyone’s responsibility and you are responsible to look out for yourself and those around you

**Education & Experience**
- Minimum of 1 year experience with field measurements
- Previous experience in reading blueprints is an asset
- Engineering or practical arts background would be an asset
- Ability to maintain the following safety tickets: CSTS, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, Confined Space, First Aid

**Physical & Other Requirements**
- Exposure to industrial shop and worksite environments
- Ability to sit, lift, walk, climb, grasp, reach, crouch, pull, push and carry up to 50 lbs
- Predominantly sitting, but standing and walking (while carrying loads) is also required
- Exposure to noise, dust and fibre
- PPE required in workshop: “Tyvek” type coveralls, gloves, safety glasses, mask and hearing protection
- Requirement to travel to other locations (50%)
