Summerhill Market is looking for a **Dairy & Frozen Food Team Lead/Receiver** to join the Grocery Department team at our **Dundas** location.

**Dairy Team Lead**

**Position Summary**:
The Dairy Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Dairy & Frozen Food section within the Grocery Department. This includes managing inventory, ensuring product availability, maintaining product quality, and delivering excellent customer service. The Dairy Team Lead is also responsible for leading their team, ensuring effective merchandising, and promoting sales growth while maintaining company standards.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Dairy & Frozen Food section, including stocking shelves, rotating stock, and ensuring product freshness and quality standards are upheld.
- Manage ordering, inventory control, and waste monitoring to minimize product loss and maximize efficiency.
- Ensure product displays are well-merchandised, appealing, and aligned with promotional strategies to optimize sales.
- Provide excellent customer service through direct interaction with customers and ensure team members are trained to support customer needs effectively.
- Train, mentor, and oversee Dairy & Frozen Food staff to maintain performance expectations and deliver outstanding service.
- Handle product damages, credits, and returns following company policies.
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, including negotiating pricing, implementing new product lines, and securing promotional opportunities.
- Monitor sales trends and adjust orders accordingly to ensure appropriate stock levels, especially during peak periods, holidays, and promotional events.
- Act as the Receiver as needed, receiving product deliveries, loading/unloading trucks, and putting away product.
- Collaborate with Store & Grocery Management to address department issues, staffing concerns, and merchandising opportunities.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and supporting the development of Dairy & Frozen Food staff; handle performance concerns or disciplinary actions when required.
- Maintain compliance with Health and Safety Standards as defined under the Ontario Health and Safety Act.
- Ensure proper cold chain management procedures are followed to maintain product integrity and safety.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the overall success of the Grocery Department and store

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Ordering & Inventory Management: 1 year (preferred)
