We stand behind the products we sell, and we work hard to service suppliers and clients alike. All areas of a trade are handled in-house in collaboration between our departments, which include dairy and meat trading, logistics/supply chain, accounting, risk management, financing, accounting, IT, and HR.

We are currently operating on a hybrid work schedule with mandatory days in the office as well as remote days working from home.

**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager, Dairy Global Exports, the **Junior Dairy Commodity Trader** will play an integral part within the dairy department, and will work to maintain and expand the client and supply portfolio of the assigned dairy market. This role will continuously monitor commodity pricing and market developments, and will work with in-house departments to ensure successful completion of a trade within the agreed parameters.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain and develop sales in assigned markets
- Maintain and develop supply with assigned suppliers
- Network and maintain strong and collaborative business relationships with existing and potential customers, suppliers, and other industry professionals
- Cold calling to develop new supply and/or clients
- Closely monitor pricing, supply, foreign exchange, and market / trade developments
- Maintain and work to continuously broaden product knowledge
- Ensure successful execution of active sales by staying on top of all developments and potential setbacks
- Work with electronic trading / market information platforms

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree in International Business, Business Management, Economics, or related field of study an asset
- MBA a strong asset
- Verbal and written fluency in English required
- **Fluency in Spanish a strong asset**:

- Proficiency with full Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) required
