**LOCATION**:SASKATOON, SK
**Summary**:
As a Deployment Field Technician, you will be responsible for completing various installations for our clients, including but not limited to POS systems, desktops and laptops, server and network equipment, etc., as well as completing site surveys and other administrative tasks as required.
**Please Note**: Deployment Technicians are reimbursed for mileage and expenses if applicable.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Completing onsite activities within a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that communication is maintained with Soroc Project Managers as well as external clients.
- Follow documentation precisely and report any issues to the appropriate escalation contact in a timely manner.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and submit to Soroc Project manner upon completion of activity.
**Qualifications & Competencies**:
- CompTIA A+
- PDI+, MCDST, Network +, Servcer+, CCNA certifications an asset
- Minimum 3 years experience in connecting/supporting POS systems, desktops, servers, and network equipment, preferably in the financial and/or retail environment
- Exposure to general networking protocols
- Experience using power tools such as a hammer drill, electric screwdriver, and screw guns
- Experience using and installing software and migrating user data, and providing support for common software
- Excellent written/oral communication skills, high quality customer service, highly professional behavior and attention to detail are essential
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to travel to different locations with your own vehicle
- Access to computer or laptop to receive communications and access to printer for documentation
- Able to work during business hours or after hours as required
- Comfortable with heights of approximately 1-20 feet with proper safety equipment
**Additional Desirable Skills**:
- Experience in petroleum environment
- Experience in installing wall mounted TV/monitors, digital signage, media players A/V cabling
- Experience drilling holes into counters
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
