**Job overview**:
The Hardscape Construction Laborer contributes to all on-site aspects of Hardscape construction projects. They will learn how to effectively execute all areas of Hardscape construction, including demolition, site and base prep, grading, material installation, cutting, finishing work, etc.
- Work safely and have a positive attitude._

**Specific responsibilities**:

- Assist in demolition, site and base prep
- Assist in installation of pathways, patios, retaining walls, rock walls, etc
- Maintain a tidy, well-organized job site and crew trailer

**Requirements**:

- Positive attitude with a growth mindset
- Desire to learn all aspects of Hardscape construction
- Competent or willing to use most hand tools, power tools like plate tampers and concrete saws
- An able body that can handle physical tasks all day long. Able to lift 100lb objects

**You’ll need**:

- Steel toe boots and rain gear
- Reliable transportation throughout Nanaimo and neighboring towns
- Valid Class 5 license

**After 3 months of continuous work you will receive**:

- A raise based on your past three months performance
- Benefits

**After 6 months of continuous work you will receive**:

- A monthly $150.00 Fuel card

**Salary**: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

**Benefits**:

- Dental care
- Extended health care

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Tips
