Business Intelligence Specialist

Arthur Grand Technologies is currently seeking a highly motivated of **Business Intelligence Specialist - Senior**forone of our clients.

**Position**:Business Intelligence Specialist - Senior**

**Location: 777 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid)**

**Hybrid - 3 days on site and 2 remote**

**Duration: Long Term Contract**

**Must Haves**:
7+ years - BI Development
- Demonstrates experience with designing and developing using the Microsoft suite of BI tools (SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI)
- Demonstrates design and development experience as a BI Programmer/ Developer
- Demonstrates experience developing and using re-usable components to assist with BI processes, and providing detailed documentation for the tools that are developed Demonstrates experience with developing, debugging and enhancing the performance of complex SQL queries
- Demonstrates experience designing and developing solutions on Microsoft Azure or other cloud infrastructure and services

**Experience and Skill Set Requirements**

**Technical Skills - 35%**
- Demonstrates experience with designing and developing using the Microsoft suite of BI tools (SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI)
- Demonstrates design and development experience as a BI Programmer/ Developer
- Developing cubes, reports and dashboards using SSAS and SSRS and Power BI
- Demonstrates experience with documenting code changes
- Demonstrates experience developing and using re-usable components to assist with BI processes, and providing detailed documentation for the tools that are developed Demonstrates experience with developing, debugging and enhancing the performance of complex SQL queries
- Demonstrates experience working with SQL Server (2016 or later) / Azure SQL Database, Oracle (11 x and higher)
- Demonstrates experience with enhancing the performance of SQL Queries
- Demonstrates experience working Azure Active Directory, Auth0 or other single sign on token-based authentication solutions
- Demonstrates experience designing and developing solutions on Microsoft Azure or other cloud infrastructure and services

**Core Skills - 35%**
- Demonstrates experience working with aggregate reporting
- Demonstrates experience in analyzing and planning for the modernization of large, complex, multiplatform, multi
- tier information technology systems
- Demonstrates experience implementing star schema multi-dimensional models and documenting detailed design models

**Project, Technique experience and General Skills - 20%**
- Demonstrates experience working in an Agile and Waterfall environment
- Demonstrates experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Demonstrates experience with performing testing: Unit, SIT, SAT, UAT
- Demonstrates experience working collaboratively with other team members and/or groups to ensure optimal solution integration
- Demonstrates experience with documenting, consulting and presenting for a diverse audience of stakeholders (both technical and non-technical)
- Demonstrates experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Demonstrates experience with performing testing and unit testing, and conducting SIT, SAT and UAT Testing
- Demonstrates experience leading business users to the successful completion of an assignment of this nature, magnitude, and complexity
- Demonstrates experience problem solving and decision making
- Demonstrates experience communicating clearly in both written and verbal formats
- Demonstrates experience working in an agile and waterfall environment
- Demonstrates experience working collaboratively with client organizations
- Demonstrates experience working with multiple teams representing various areas in delivering the project
- Demonstrates experience coordinating multiple projects with competing priorities

**Public Sector Experience - 10%**
- Demonstrates experience working within the OPS, particularly within the education ministries would be an asset
