Production Fabricator

Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrate conduct consistent with Vulcraft Canada Inc.'s core values.
- Weld with MIG welding process.
- Work collaboratively as a team member to achieve production goals.
- Operate efficiently to reduce material losses and optimize production.
- Use various tools including a band saw, hand grinder, or other manual and electric tools as required.
- Accurately measure and mark the material for assembly / cutting / welding according to the plans.
- Ensure quality standards are consistent with Vulcraft policy.
- Interpret drawings, including weld symbols.
- Work accurately with both the metric and imperial systems.
- Use oxygen / acetylene torch and MIG welder.
- Perform other duties as required by supervisor and/or management.
- Communicate information during shift changes to ensure quality and production objectives are met.
**Minimum Qualifications and Requirements**:
- Proven and strong commitment to safety of self and others.
- Previous experience in MIG welding process desired.
- Able to or willing to learn to operate CNC plasma machine.
- Must be a self-starter, highly motivated and be able to work effectively in a team.
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Able to handle physical workload and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Overhead Crane and forklift certified or willing to get certified.
- Able to or willing to learn maintenance tasks in the plant.
- Must have basic to advance math skills.
- Experience with using a band saw or willing to learn.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and or overtime to support operational demands.
- Must be able to read and interpret structural plans and welding drawings.
