Parkview Services for Seniors is comprised of three Ontario Non-Profit Corporations. Parkview Home is a 128 bed fully Accredited Long-Term Care Home. The Parkview Village Retirement Community Association of York Region is a 124-unit rental apartment building which provides for independent living. And the Parkview Village Cluster Homes for Seniors Association of York Region was formed to provide an independent living environment under a life lease model.

Our mission is to serve seniors, nurture the community and honour aging **We are seeking Personal Support Workers.**

**Duties And Responsibilities**

Shifts Available:

- 6am-2pm
- 2pm-10pm
- 10pm-6am

Job description
- Effectively communicates with all team members
- Assumes responsibility for the ADL care of the resident
- Respects and complies with Resident Bill of Rights
- Accountable for the quality of resident care
- Reports any change in physical or mental condition and behaviour of the residents to the Registered Staff
- Assists family and responds to questions when appropriate. Refers questions related to resident’s medical condition to Registered Staff
- Attends in-service and continuing educational sessions, as assigned
- Assists the resident to meet their individualized quality of life needs (eg. activation programs, family outings) as reflected in the mission, vision and values of the organization
- Assist with implementation and evaluation of the plan of care for the residents that is resident, and family focused
- Assists with the admission, transfer and discharge of the resident
- Participates in health record documentation by completing resident care checklist, nourishment checklist, restraint monitoring and other flow charts as assigned
- Complies with Compliance Standards from Ministry of Long-Term Care and Parkview Services for Seniors Policies & Procedures and other relevant regulatory and legislative standards
- Supervises, serves and assists residents with eating in dining areas at meal times
- Responds to resident call bells and assists with ADL’s as required
- Maintains a safe environment for residents and staff
- Performs other related duties as required

Job Requirements:

- PSW Certificate
- GPA or U-First certificate (recommended)
- Minimum one year experience in Dementia care (recommended)
- Basic computer skills required. Good oral and written communication skills required.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID (based on Public Health guidelines 2 doses or more*)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Stouffville, ON L4A 0G8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:
