Cash Office Associate

**Summary**

The Cash Office Associate is directly responsible for counting and balancing daily sales, creating deposits, remitting tips to employees, entering sales into the accounting files as well as other ad hoc duties.

**Job Duties**
- Completes the sales balancing worksheet for each location on a daily basis
- Reconciles funds received on the merchant statement with the A/R reported on the POS System. Identifies discrepancies and brings them to the respective bookkeeper for investigation
- Reviews Paid Outs and matches the expense recorded with the receipt(s) provided.
- Processes daily payments received, including cash, cheques, debit and credit cards transactions
- Prepares bank deposits and ensures all funds are deposited into the respective bank on the weekly basis
- Enters sales balancing worksheet into the general ledger of the respective location and provides explanations for shortages, discrepancies, paid-ins, paid-outs, and manual (non-POS) transactions
- Tracks employee shortages and ensures funds are remitted within 2 weeks of the amount being communicated to the respective Senior Manager
- Calculates and tracks tip payouts to employees.
- Remits tip-outs and ensures all funds received are signed for by the manager and the recipient
- Provides Kitchen Tip tracking sheet to the Director and Assistant Director of Restaurant Operations on the bi-weekly basis for audit purpose
- Places cash orders for ATMs and Coin. Ensures amount received matches orders placed for each location
- Works with the ATM cash loader and the General Managers to identify the appropriate volume of cash/coin to order
- Ensures ATM cash sent off for loading the machines is signed for, acknowledging receipt of disbursed funds
- Ensures cash returned to each pub is signed for, acknowledging receipt of disbursed funds
- Tracks and balances cash on hand for ATM, Coin, and Petty Cash on a weekly basis
- Processes Head Office Petty Cash transactions as per receipt(s) provided and ensures approval is obtained prior to reimbursement
- E-mails weekly POS sales reports for each location to the Executive Team
- Orders office supplies for all locations. Ensures product received matches what was ordered and distributes to the various locations
- Ad hoc duties as requested

**Requirements**:

- Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel
- Proficient data entry skills
- Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Experience in gathering data, compiling the proper information, and preparing reports
- Able to perform basic to moderate account reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Must possess a high level of moral judgment for handling confidential information and monetary transactions
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Honest, courteous and able to demonstrate strong work ethics
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
- Must be a team player with strong communication skills
- Experience in a similar role, minimum 1 year

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
