**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Aquafor is looking for a Full-time Field Technician to join the firm’s Field Support Team. The existing field team’s primary responsibilities include conducting a variety of field activities relating to surface water/stormwater management, sanitary and environmental monitoring. The successful applicant will be providing technical assistance to the Technical Field Support Lead with daily tasks that include the following:
- Topographic and Bathymetric Surveying
- Conducting various monitoring activities to characterize surface water, stormwater, sanitary, aquatic ecology, and sediment conditions. Monitoring activities may include: collecting water and sediment samples for laboratory analysis, field testing (pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, etc.), flow measurements, installation and maintenance of monitoring equipment.
- Compiling and analyzing collected monitoring data.
- Assisting in reporting writing and preparation of technical memos, permitting, letters, and proposals.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- University Degree or Technical Diploma in Environmental/Civil/Geological Engineering, Environmental/Earth Science or similar programs.
- Highly comfortable working in the outdoors in variable weather.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, discretion, autonomy, and flexibility.
- Experience working with Google Suite, MS Office, and ability to quickly learn new platforms.
- Experience working with ArcGIS and AutoCAD, as well as surveying equipment, considered an asset.
- Fluency (speaking, reading, and writing) in English.
- Track record of managing time effectively and balancing part time work with other commitments.
- Valid Class G Driver’s License and access to a vehicle.
**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**
- Position Type: Full-time (6-month probation period)
- Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000/year (Commensurate on experience)
- Vacation: 2 weeks
- Health Plan and Benefits: Full coverage following probation period
