**Job Overview**
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Barista to join our team at an exciting new bakery and Cafe. We are looking for a Lead Barista to help craft our coffee & matcha programs, implement systems to ensure precise execution of the program, and training of the other baristas. We want to ensure high level execution of the program with an emphasis on speed, consistency with fun and engaging hospitality. As both a takeaway and dine in location, the proposed cafe will have a full service offering for three meal periods a day. Your expertise in coffee preparation and customer service will play a vital role in enhancing the overall experience of our guests and the entire operation. We are looking for a Lead Barista to propagate a coffee culture with a fun and breezy sense.

**Duties**
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care.
- Operate the POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Adhere to food safety standards and guidelines during food preparation and handling.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

**Qualifications**
- Previous high level barista skillset
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and sales transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety practices related to food preparation and handling.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus.

Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
