**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as required.
- Follow recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager to ensure consistency in food quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring all food handling practices are followed.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
- Work the line preparing sandwiches, salads and more to-order
- Close down the kitchen ensuring proper stocking, cleaning and shutting down of equipment
- Participate in daily cleaning tasks to maintain a sanitary work environment.
**Requirements**
- Previous experience in a cooking or food service role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is an assset
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving ingredients.
- A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the food industry.
