**_ Function Description_**

You’ll be responsible for calibration and repair to a variety of facilities testing engines and parts. Provide technical support to the engineering functional groups, test system performance, analyze and report on results.

**What your day to day will look like**:

- Operate under mínimal supervision, install, calibrate, repair, and perform preventive maintenance of electronic, electro-mechanical, and/or mechanical instrumentation
- Disassemble, inspect clean, repair, calibrate, test, and perform periodic maintenance of specialty equipment, systems, and controls.
- Inspect, evaluate, and determine necessary modifications, perform complex repairs of instruments or devices needing overhaul during scheduled maintenance.
- Troubleshoot / service or resolve problems while performing unscheduled work.
- Record and report abnormal function or out of tolerance conditions of equipment / systems and initiate corrective action and documentation.
- Able to read and work from schematic diagrams and specification manuals
- Operate in a team environment with peers of the same technical standing.

**What you need to be successful**:

- Diploma in electronics engineering technology and or instrumentation.
- Knowledge of operating and maintenance principles, procedures, and tolerances in area of technical expertise.
- Knowledge of safety procedures applicable to facility activities.
- Ability to install and calibrate specified equipment and/or technical equipment.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Computer Skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
- Occasional travel needs (passport requirements)
- 5 or more yrs. of experience in a technical field, service calibration environment an asset.
- Autonomous, perseverance, and versatility, in addition to a strong business sense.
- Ability to work rotating shift (day and evening), on call availability (weekends and holidays).
- Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and varying priorities.
- Project management skills.
- Knowledge of the aerospace industry.
