**Position Type**:Casual
**Schedule**: Varied (days, evenings and weekends)
**Reporting to**: Food Services Supervisor
**Location**: Red Deer
**Number of Positions to be Filled**:1
Reporting to the Food Services Supervisor, the Food Services Relief staff is responsible, as part of a team, to assist with preparing meals for our guests, and School Lunch Program. Food Services Relief Staff will also ensure all food deliveries from suppliers and donations are received, sorted, and stored in the most efficient manner. The Food Services Relief Staff will receive, verify, and store all purchased food and kitchen items. The Food Services Relief Staff also oversees stored food rotation and Maintains Occupational Health & Safety Standards.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**
- A preferred minimum of one (1) year experience working in the Food Service industry;
- Valid certificate from the Alberta Health Services Food Safe course;
- Ability to successfully prepare food in a commercial kitchen for a large number of clients;
- Be willing to take any necessary training the Mustard Seed requires;
- Customer service experience;
- Ability to resolve conflicts as they arise.
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- The working environment for this position requires moderate amounts of walking, climbing, standing, sitting, lifting, carrying, and daily interactions with colleagues and guests;
- Fast paced and demanding work environment;
- Desire to serve in a Christian ministry;
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- An Employment Background Check is required for all positions at The Mustard Seed
