**Shifts**:7am-11:30 am

**Position Summary**:
Each team member at Brightwater is responsible for assisting their department in striving to meet or exceed the standards of excellence that have been set. The Server is specifically responsible for providing exceptional service to all residents, guests and coworkers by performing essential duties effectively and efficiently; serving meals to residents in an efficient, courteous and friendly manner; and holding up Brightwater’s standard and expectations.

**Role Qualifications**:

- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Maintain food handlers permit.
- Maintain any other certifications as required by state or provincial regulations.
- Ability to remain calm when confronted with angry guests.
- Ability to operate P.O.S. computer, make correct change, process credit card transactions and balance at the end of shift.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Maintain resident, employee, and community information in strict confidence (with community management or other employees as necessary).
- Greet residents (and visitors when applicable) at table before taking orders or serving.
- Ensure menu holders are clean, correct menu is in menu holders, and placed on table.
- Set tables for next meal.
- Deliver meals to residents both in suite and in Restaurant, expedite the food line
- Assist with bussing tables
- Clean and sanitize tables and chairs.
- Sanitize placemats and set on tables.
- Spot clean and vacuum carpet.
- Clean table and chair legs
- Prepare server station for lunch and supper.
- Serve fresh bread in basket per assigned meal.
- Politely and efficiently take meal orders and deliver them to kitchen.
- Assure adaptive equipment is present for residents who require it.
- Serve beverages, cereals, soups, salads, meals, and desserts.
- Complete side duties, such as adding sugar and creamer packets, cleaning beverage center, etc.
- Polish cutlery and glassware
- Set up for events and banquets
- Perform housekeeping and laundry duties as assigned.
