**Job Purpose**:
The Merchant is responsible for bringing the product assortment to life through creating and curating seasonal line plans that captivate the Reigning Champ consumer. The Merchant should bring seasoned expertise and have an in depth understand of the Reigning Champ consumer and market landscape. This role reports into the Head of Sales & Merchandising, and partners closely with the Product team to deliver commercially viable products that drive and influence the brand.

**Key responsibilities and accountabilities**:
(Including, but not limited to)
- Helps the successful creation, execution, and maintenance of line plans for all product categories
- Build product assortment in collaboration with Design and Product Development that reflects our brand identity while maximizes profitability and sales
- Deliver profitable assortments driving IMU and cost goals needed to meet and exceed targets
- Utilize industry knowledge and competitive landscape to maintain global pricing architecture, provide consumer insights and market strategies
- Ensure briefs are met throughout product creation process, from line plan through to GTM date
- Brief colour flow for design to help shape a year-round and seasonal offering
- Proactively gather, analyze, and drive insights from the competitive landscape and cross-functional partners across all channels for pre-season planning
- Review and validate sketches and protos against the briefs, ensuring products hits goals
- Be the voice of the customer, providing considered and clear feedback during fittings
- Analyze and react to individual store and ecommerce trends in season provided by the buyer
- Creating visual merchandise plan across all retail locations and execute with team
- Identify and flag quality issues for deeper analysis
- Identify new opportunities and provide strategic insights that drive the business, increase sales and strengthen the brand

**About you**:

- You have 3-5 years of true Merchant or product creation experience in a fast-paced environment
- You have a bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising, or related field preferred
- You are consumer focussed, with the ability to analyze and communicate consumer trends
- You have strong communication skills and enjoy collaborating and working cross functionally with a diverse range of partners
- You have a keen eye for fashion and vision for upcoming trends
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit that driving initiatives forward
- You are adaptable and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
