tentree is a lifestyle apparel company based out of Vancouver, Canada that plants ten trees for every item purchased. By combining social and environmental consciousness with apparel, we empower our customers to have a direct impact on saving the planet through intentional purchasing.

Reporting to the Merchant, the Junior Merchant is responsible for supporting the Merchandising Department with sales analysis, reporting, accurate data entry and partnering with cross-functional teams ensuring GTM calendar is followed.

What will you be doing?
_ Pre-Season Line Planning_
- You will research marketplace trends and competitive analysis
- You will assist the Merchant in line architecture proposal for future season development, supported by sales data and marketplace top sellers
- You will manage all Merchandising related data entry for new seasons in PLM
- You will partner with cross functional teams on capsule collections and seasonal drop initiatives
- You will organize sample process for quarterly reviews & checkpoint meetings
- You will partner with cross functional teams to ensure seasonal wholesale catalogue is executed on time and propels the brand forward
- In-Season Analysis_
- You will pull reports as needed and support the Merchant in reviewing sales
- You will be included in the maintenance and creation of Merchant tools
- You will provide recommendations to the Merchant to support markdown strategies, increase sales opportunities, new product launches, and key events
- You will develop an understanding of open-to-buy process
- You will manage key checkpoint meetings with cross functional partners ensuring that GTM calendar checkpoints are achieved on time
- You will actively manage all PLM merchandising information by style
- You will partner with Production to ensure on time delivery
- You will review tentree websites on a regular basis to look for merchandising opportunities
- Post-Season Inventory Analysis_
- You will support in the execution of post-season recaps (monthly and quarterly)
- You will identify what worked, what didn't, what was learned, and next steps
- You will gather feedback from cross functional teams on past season performance on all channels
- You will support the Merchant in formulating key seasonal takeaways and action items
- You will brainstorm with cross functional teams to continuously improve and streamline process and communication

**Requirements**:

- Professional Requirements:_
- An undergraduate degree (Business, Commerce or Fashion Merchandising preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent sense of style, colour and trends; focus on sustainability is considered an asset
- Personal Strengths:_
- Ability to work in a confidential and environment and demonstrate good judgement in dealing with proprietary information
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; a proactive self-starter
- Must be organized and pay close attention to detail
