This may be the position for you if you also **love working with people,** **enjoy outdoor adventuring**and **don't mind the mountain weather** At the** Mountaineer Lodge**we offer affordable **staff housing,** **fun outings and shared meals** as well as **benefits**and opportunities for growing within the company. **Summer Bonus $2>00/hr.** **Position Overview**: The Housekeeping Supervisor reports to the Housekeeping Manager As a member of the leadership team, you will be training and coaching new staff, inspecting rooms, preparing room lists and assisting with scheduling. This is also a “working supervisor” position, so be prepared to pitch in as needed. Clear communication and good organizational skills will be key to your success as a supervisor. **What will I be doing?** Some of the key duties include: - Prepare and assign all room lists to Room Attendants when the Housekeeping Manager is not available. - Being a problem solver, coordinator, and communicator, making sure that everyone has the supplies they need and know their duties to be successful each day. - Check all rooms to ensure the quality of work is maintained and clear them for the Front Desk. - Assist with basic guest services and housekeeping duties: - include bed making, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms and rooms, laundry and general light maintenance. - Ensure that all Occupational Health & Safety policies and training are followed. **Qualifications and Skills**: - Grade 12 or equivalent - Experience as a housekeeping room attendant in a hotel setting - Experience supervising or leading a team. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Prioritization, Problem solving and time management skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Able to perform physically demanding work. **Working Conditions**: - Able to lift and carry heavy objects. - Bending, stooping, standing, and walking for the entire day. - Repetitive movement - Working with cleaning chemicals - May be working with time pressures. - Some computer work required.
