Our Production Kitchen is seeking two Full-Time Cook 2

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Prepares and cooks items for breakfast buffet and the lunch a la carte menu.
- Sets up line for the lunch buffet when required and cooks all menu items on a daily basis
- Work in and maintain a clean environment
- Follow Lais Hotel Properties’ standards for food preparation
- Assists in the preparation of stocks and soups as required under the direction of the Executive Sous Chef
- All other duties as assigned

**What you'll bring to the role**:
**Technical/Managerial/Administrative Requirements**:

- Basic knowledge of WHMIS is considered an asset
- Standard first aid is considered an asset
- Ability to work under mínimal supervision
- Understand and practice of safe food handling

**Professional Requirements**:

- Grade 12 or equivalent experience
- Theoretical training at a community college in a cook apprenticeship program for one year and 6000 hours of in-house on-the-job training under certified Chef or equivalent experience of 3-5 years
- Excellent eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills for cutting, chopping and arrangement of meals on plate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Current Safe Food Handler’s Certificate
- Previous up-selling and/or sales experience is considered an asset
- Basic literary skills
