**Overview**

**Duties**
- Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of workers who operate excavators and other similar heavy equipment in the installation of new underground water and sewer piping.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers
- Requisition materials and supplies
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity
- Train or arrange for training of workers
- Prepare production and other reports
- May also supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of related apprentices, helpers and labourers

**Skills**
- Experience in supervising loader operation and heavy equipment operation, with a focus on new underground water infrastructure installation.
- Ability to read construction drawings and understaning of surveying
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.

Assets

Experience in municipal infrastructure, road building, or underground services

Certification in equipment operation or safety training courses

Experience with GPS or laser-guided grading systems

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 7 months

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
