The ARC Bartender is responsible for all tasks related to food and beverage service in an efficient and professional manner, in accordance with brand standards. We are looking for dynamic, outgoing bartenders. Mixologists who understand the art of being a bartender. Individuals who enjoy working with the public and creating those guest experiences, one guest at a time. We are seeking bartenders to work our lounge bar, banquet events and parties. Part-time or Casual, based on banquet events and parties.
- Preparing and serving of alcoholic beverages to guests including creating daily drink specials and recipes
- Providing beverage service for additional F & B outlets
- Accountable for balancing daily sales; Comply with established cash handling procedures
- Operate point of sales system on the Micros system. Collect cash, credit/debit card payments
- Maintain sanitation and hotel standards in outlet
- Clean and sanitize glasses, work areas and bar equipment including dish machine
- Organize entire work area to Delta standards
- Plan, organize and control the operations of a lounge or bar
- Enforce provincial/federal liquor legislation and regulations
- Be able to professionally interact with unruly patrons
- Accurately complete daily beverage inventory
- Other duties as assigned by Manager

**EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT**:

- Knowledge of all types of beer, draughts, liquor and wines required.
- Recognized Mixology course or equivalent ability gained through experience is required;
- Responsible Alcohol Service Course required
- Previous experience with a POS system required
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be honest, reliable and dependable
- Must possess strong upselling and suggestive selling skills
- Basic accounting and computer skills required
- Positive, enthusiastic, outgoing personality a definite must;
- Must demonstrate behavior consistent with core values
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills required
- Must be a responsible, organized individual who can work with minimum supervision
- Must be in good health and accustomed to walking and standing for long periods
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be a team orientated individual with good interactive skills
- Practice good hygiene

**Minimum Qualifications and Skills**

High school graduate or equivalent experience.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace and used by guests visiting the workplace.
- Superior guest services skills.
- Must possess Provincial serve safe certificate.

**Mental Effort**
- Listening and mental attentiveness in fulfilling guests requirements.

**Physical Effort**
- Sets-up and cleans up the Bar area on a daily basis.
- Ability to lift 50LB

**Working Conditions**
- Frequent handling of queries from guests, and property staff.
- Afternoon and evening shifts, with minimum supervision.
- Maintain good personal appearance at all times; wear proper uniform and name tag as prescribed by hotel.

**Type of Supervision Required**

Reports to the hotel F&B Manager. Works under general instructions to prioritize and complete assigned tasks.
