**The job**
As the HR Business Partner for NAM, you will be responsible for the implementation of the HR strategy with regards to recruitment, training and development, employer branding in all Boortmalt facilities in NAM. You ensure implementation in compliance with local regulation, HR Group strategy and business objectives. You act as the back up of the payroll manager. You will report directly to the Managing Director NAM and dotted to the Chief People and Communication Officer.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Partnering with the Regional Leadership Team to cultivate high performance and top talent within the North American Organisation. In doing so, you are considered as the local expert with regards to talent management
- Partnering with the regional leadership team and the team leaders to drive clear and actionable mid-year and year-end performance reviews
- Partnering with the business and the talent acquisition team to ensure timely filling of open roles in accordance with the Group's recruitment and employer branding strategy
- Manage the HR processes from the onboarding of an employee up to termination
- Facilitate the local training program in compliance with Group T&D Strategy
- Pro-actively manage employee relation issues, conduct investigations as needed and provide clear direction/action towards managers
- Ensure compliance of all federal and provincial laws
- Coach leadership and managers on the Boortmalt compensation philosophy and drive managerial empowerment
- Be an integral part of the annual planning process and execute against the people strategy for the organisation.
- Responsible for fiscal accountability within related HR budgets
- Promote activities aimed at growing the company's culture and values in the business
**Who you are**
To successfully manage this role, we are seeking the following qualifications:
- Minimal 3-5 years experience as an HR Business Partner
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience, with at least 2 years of Leadership Team strategic partnership experience.
- Bachelor degree in HR or labour law or relevant by experience
- Strong social and interpersonal skills
- Maintains a high degree of confidentiality and integrity
- Team player and good organizational and leadership capabilities
- Track record of strong business partnership within a dynamic, matrixed environment: a strategic leader who takes initiative and ownership.
- Experience facilitating client-facing Talent training programs.
- Experience in understanding and translating the priorities of the business and integrating the HR value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business.
- Ability to influence and manage change and deal effectively with change management initiatives.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends and recommend solutions to improve employee satisfaction, performance, and retention.
- Strong planning, budgetary and project management abilities.
- Self-starter with creative mind and a track record of putting ideas into practice and assessing results.
- Track record of cross-functional collaboration and adapting national strategies at a local/regional level.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, with familiarity of HR Information Systems.
