**Your Role**

Join the 1QBit team and play a pivotal role in establishing us as a leader in the quantum computing and AI ecosystem in Canada. This is a truly unique opportunity for an early-career business professional and aspiring entrepreneur to be exposed to all facets of our business and gain experience while working closely with our leadership team. Based in our Sherbrooke office in Quebec, you will join the Office of the CEO team and work directly with our CEO, our Director, Special Projects and Chief Corporate Officer. You will support this team on various aspects including operations, finance, legal, as well as communication with our board of directors, external stakeholders and clients. Your ability to work effectively in a variety of arenas (internal teams, board, academia, clients) will be crucial to your success.

**Who this role is for**:

- Recent university graduates or early-career individuals interested in gaining broad hands-on business experience with direct mentorship from company leaders
- Individuals interested in pursuing their own entrepreneurship experience later in their career

**What You’ll Do**
- Work closely with the 1QBit management team on projects relating to operations, business development, finance, and external stakeholder communication
- Prepare and facilitate board and shareholder materials including business operations and financial reports
- Lead on preparation for company-wide communications including All Hands meetings
- Review contracts and agreements working with internal and external stakeholders as well as legal counsel
- Help build and maintain important business relations with collaborators, academic institutions and clients, sometimes acting as a point of contact or facilitator
- Support business operations as needed, for example, preparing market analyses, budgeting, promotional content, and business case development
- Assist with day-to-day operational tasks as they arise
- Maintain the CEO’s schedule and meetings and support scheduling needs

**What You’ll Bring**

**Required**:

- Demonstrated strong business acumen (e.g., business degree or experience)
- Minimum 1 year work experience in a business setting
- Fluent in spoken French and English
- Strong writing skills in both French and English
- An acute attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive attitude and strong sense of ownership

**Preferred Existing Experience and Skills**:

- Creating business documents, presentations, and correspondence
- Reviewing legal documents and consulting with legal counsel
- Discussing, negotiating, and managing expectations of stakeholders while building strong business relationships
- Performing analyses and writing reports or documents in a work environment: budgets, market analyses, building business cases, writing proposals
- Strong organizational and planning skills, including an ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Ability to work in a distributed work environment, across multiple time zones,
- Working with various software platforms (e.g., MS and Google Suite, Slack, Zoom)
- An interest in new technologies, including quantum computing and artificial intelligence
