**JOB DESCRIPTION: Scheduling, Planning and Repack Supervisor**
**REPORTING TO: Plant Manager**
***:Reporting to the Plant Manager, the incumbent will supervise coordinate, prepare, monitor and support all levels of schedules and activities of employees who are responsible for the Repack area. The incumbent will develop work breakdown structures and assign resources to each production activity, producing reports and analyses.
In this role, the incumbent’s mandate will be focused on safety, meeting productivity objectives, maintaining harmonious labour relations and demonstrating leadership by implementing continuous improvement processes.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Mentor, coach, counsel, train and lead all assigned shift personnel to foster a safe, organized, productive, team-oriented work environment.
- Assign available personnel to Re pack workstations as appropriate, maintain the integrity of the process, and assume adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Properly document significant occurrences and changes, then summarize and communicate those occurrences to the Management team.
- Establish methods to meet production schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other areas.
- Observe and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiencies of the manufacturing/production operations, recommend process and/or equipment improvements and coordinate the implementation of the approved changes.
- To ensure the efficient utilization of equipment, material and manpower.
- To highlight problem areas during schedule updates so as to minimize schedule impacts and to permit work-arounds.
- Maintaining and distribution of the Re pack production schedule.
- Communicate production schedule concerns to the rest of the team.
- Issuing work orders complete with drawings.
- Identify bottleneck resources and communicate to the Management Team.
- Close daily communications with the Production Supervisors. to ensure that production schedules are maintained.
- Tracking production.
- Listen, respond and follow-up to the needs and requests of employees in your department.
- Direct Re pack Team leader duties and responsibilities.
- Co-ordinate and follow up on 5S activities, plant cleanliness and organization for all assigned shift personnel.
- Other duties as required.
**DESIRED EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Completion of secondary school or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the production process including experience in shop routing, bills of material and work orders.
- Familiarity with inventory management, inventory analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Prioritizing and multi-tasking skills.
**OTHER PREFERRED SKILLS**:
- Flexible, service-oriented and hands-on management professional who can successfully direct, motivate and train staff.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching, mentoring, and organizational skills.
- Ability to make critical decisions to accomplish production goals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple tasks and projects.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, self-starter who can work well both independently and as part of a team.
**Health and Safety Responsibilities**:
- Ensure a safe workplace and assign safe work
- Follow and reinforce policies and procedure put in place for employee safety
- Do not cut corners and take risks
- Provide training and information to employees on the hazards of tasks and ensure precautions are taken
- Report and act on any unsafe conditions and potential hazards that may be presented by employees or are seen while working
- Wear, maintain and enforce proper PPE that is requested by employer
