**Position Title**: Recreation Supervisor
**Position Status**: Part-time (Seasonal)
**Reports To**: Program Manager
**Compensation**:$18.20/hour
**Hours of work**:30 hours a week for 9 weeks (Monday to Thursday shift from 1:30pm-5:00pm in office and 5:30pm-8:00pm on-field, Saturday shift from 7:30am-12:30pm on-field).
**Start date**: Week of June 23rd, 2025
**End date**:Week of August 18th, 2025
**Guelph Soccer Club**
Guelph Soccer operates as a non-profit soccer club in the City of Guelph. It offers year-round recreational and competitive programming for youth and adults. The Club promotes a culture of development and inclusivity and is a proud member of the Southwest Soccer Association, Ontario Soccer, and Canada Soccer.
**Job Overview**
The Recreation Supervisor is a seasonal role at Guelph Soccer, playing a vital part in our team. This position will be essential in assisting with the planning and delivery of our Recreational Programs throughout the summer. The Supervisor will provide on-field support and assist with administrative tasks in the office.
**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
This role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Lead and implement a session plan and provide encouragement to all players
- Provide support to volunteer coaches during sessions
- Manage, lead, and supervise on-field staff
- Arrive to the program site on time to set up and start the program according to the schedule
- Assist with staff scheduling and provide on field coverage
- Act as an ambassador for the organization, handling any questions or conflicts that may arise on-field
- Act as the point of contact for coaches, parents, players, and staff
- Adapt daily sessions or activities based on the needs of the group and other factors
- Conduct weekly team meetings before and after each session to ensure quality programming
- Prioritize child well-being and safety of participants
- Act as a knowledgeable resource and on-site program representative
- Maintain accurate program records, including incident reports and daily attendance
- Promote participation and encourage teamwork from players throughout the session
- Support and promote the HIGH Five “Principles of Healthy Child Development” (PHCD)
- Provide regular program updates to ensure quality programming is offered throughout the summer
- Assist with administrative tasks to support the summer program portfolio
**Skills and Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of soccer or sport leagues.
- Demonstrates strong leadership.
- Excellent communication, administrative, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mediation skills.
- Demonstrates reliability, honesty, and integrity.
**Qualifications**_(*This is a Canada Summer Jobs position)_
- Be between 15 - 30 years of age, at the start of the funded position
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or someone to whom Refugee Status has been granted/conferred
- Have a valid SIN
- **International students, and those who are here in Canada on a work, youth, or visitor visa/permit are not eligible for the program**

Pay: $18.20 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
Schedule:
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Guelph, ON (N1G): reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
