**What you’ll do**
- Reporting to the Coordinator, Donor Services this position will be responsible for a variety of duties related to the processing of donations to ensure that donations are processing in a timely and accurate manner.
- More specifically this position is responsible for:

- Entering donor information from various sources into the Foundation’s donor database and assisting with the issuance of tax receipts in accordance with current policies and procedures
- Preparing cash and cheques for delivery to the bank and process credit card payments while ensuring cash control is maintained for all sources of donations
- Make outbound phone calls as part of our Monthly Calling Program to verify donor information as needed
- Providing support at fundraising events with a focus on the securing, collection, and tabulation of event proceeds
- Providing reception relief support as needed
- Providing general administrative and clerical support to the Donor Services department as needed

**What you bring**
- Your superb organizational skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills are critical to the role. You are patient, analytical, and methodical and love to solve problems. You have a professional manner and the ability to interact tactfully and diplomatically with a wide variety of people.
- In addition, you will have:

- Grade 12 diploma
- One year of related work experience, preferably within an office environment
- Microsoft Excel experience in manipulating data
- Demonstrated accuracy and detail-oriented
- Raiser’s Edge NXT or other database experience is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong customer service skills, with experience and comfort providing customer service over the phone
- Strong keyboarding and data entry skills with a typing speed of at least 60 wpm

**Additional Information**
- This position is casual; therefore, hours are not guaranteed and can vary depending on when donation volume increases as a result of direct marketing initiatives or fundraising events.
- This position has proved to be a great job for students or for individuals who do not rely on regular hours. Representatives will be called in to work for hours that fall Monday to Friday between 8:30am to 5pm, however, some weekends may be required during busy event seasons such as April - June (Jean Up, Miracle Weekend and Race for the Kids) and November (Crystal Ball and A Night of Miracles).

This position is based in our office located in Vancouver, BC. Throughout the pandemic, BCCHF has committed to prioritizing the health and safety of our team members.
