**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
Based at the Macassa Site, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a **Maintenance Supervisor **to join our Maintenance team.

The Macassa Mine is a high-grade gold producer, with grade improving at depth, and a key valuation driver for Kirkland Lake Gold. Located in the Town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, the Macassa Mine remains on the highest gold grade mines in the world. Macassa commenced operations in 2002, and with the discovery of the South Mine Complex has been able to increase its level of production significantly over the past five years. The mine is located in an area with well-developed infrastructure, including a provincial highway, a railway system and a private airport. High-grade ore is processed at the Macassa Mill, which currently has available capacity and is located in close proximity to the mine.

The **Maintenance Supervisor **is responsible for the timely upkeep of reliability for operational machinery of the mine. In addition to key awareness around availabilities with scheduled and opportune servicing.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Your responsibilities will include:

- Supervising and coordinating the mechanical crew to ensure work is performed correctly, safely and on time with mínimal impact on mine productivity
- Holding weekly safety/communication meetings with crew
- Supporting and directing lead hands in crew line ups
- Ensuring crews are trained to work in a safe, productive and environmentally sound manner
- Inspecting work to identify training needs
- Supervising and managing performance in step with set KPI’s including planned and responsive maintenance & shutdowns
- Motivating and instructing all crew members when possible
- Reviewing and signing off work-orders in SAP/CMMS
- Communicating with other department personnel to plan and schedule maintenance work
- Assisting in revising programs, procedures, parts, systems, etc.
- All other duties as may be assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Experience in supervisory role preferred
- Experience in underground mining environment preferred
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma
- Inter provincial Heavy Duty Mechanic Licence
- Self motivated with strong safety and leadership skills
- Effective supervisory, communication skills and ability
- Supervisor Common Core Modules (Surface or UG)
