Goodness Me is currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused, full-time Grocery Department Manager for our Waterloo store location.
**Your day-to-day**:
As our Grocery Department Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in building your team from the ground up. You will lead and manage the daily operations of the Grocery Department, with a focus on sales, labour, and waste targets. Other duties and responsibilities may include:

- Building and maintaining relationships with new and returning customers
- Maintaining a high level of product and service knowledge
- Ensuring stock is appropriately rotated and satisfactory inventory levels are maintained
- Participating in merchandising and promotional activities.
- Ensuring adherence to company and industry regulations
- Interviewing and onboarding new team members
- Motivating and inspiring team members while ensuring that productivity levels remain high
- Executing performance management conversations with team members
- Assisting in rolling out new policies and ensuring team members are compliant

**What you bring**:

- 3-5 years of management experience
- Experience in maintaining operational excellence in retail stores (payroll, shrink and inventory management, etc)
- A solid understanding of sales forecasts for establishing key targets for the department
- A strong work ethic and a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Ability to work primarily daytime shifts, with evening/weekend availability
