Oakes Grand Ballroom with an additional 2700 sq. ft. foyer. **Summary of Responsibilities**:
We are currently searching for a results-driven **Hotel Assistant General Manager** with solid leadership abilities who can grow with us. You will collaborate with our Area General Manager to plan and oversee all aspects of the hotel's daily operations. Responsible for the supervision, brand standards audit, and control of the front desk, housekeeping, administration, and related functions. Also, responsible for the day-to-day operation of food and beverage, most of which is hands-on food and beverage preparation and service, as well as overall supervision of the food and beverage personnel and budget performance.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Supports the Area General Manager on growing revenues and maximizes the financial performance of the department and developing positive owner relations.
- Ensures Hotel Operations meet the brand’s standards, customer needs and employee satisfaction.
- Supports the Area General Manager to ensure staff receives proper training for each position, including safety training and standard operating procedures.
- Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels; effectively responding to and handles guest problems and complaints seeking assistance from supervisor as necessary.
- Monitors cost controls for each department on a regular basis.
- Adhere to all franchise and company procedures and regulations as well as standard operating procedures.
- Responds to guest complaints and resolves problems to maintain Guest Satisfaction
- Assist the Area General Manager with resolving employee issues
- Audit daily reports and processes monthly reports
- Order supplies and equipment as needed and in accordance with company procedures
- Maintain excellent communication with all employees
- Complete a property walk at least once a day and provide documentation to the Area General Manager
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Area General Manager.

**Job Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a comparable position with world renowned hotel
- Degree/Diploma or equivalent education in Hospitality Management preferred.
- Strong background in Food and Beverage, Rooms Division, Sales and Marketing and Revenue Management.
- Proven track record with regards to cost control.
- Demonstrated progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.
- In depth knowledge and experience in budgeting and business planning.
- Ability to motivate and direct a large team. Demonstrates energy and enthusiasm.
- Must have passion for service, standards and product.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving skills, decision making skills and conflict management abilities.
- Professional in appearance and presentation.
- Must be computer literate in MS office (MS word, MS excel), Yield Management programmes, Property Management Systems and Daily Revenue Systems (DRS).
- Experience in a unionized environment an asset.
