**Child and Youth Care Practitioner/Developmental Support**

**Respite Support**

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- teaching appropriate behaviours and reducing challenging behaviours
- Support client from home and to school on a daily basis.
- teaching communication and social skills, play skills, and life skills.
- Create teaching materials to support programming. Collect and monitor data.
- Connect with parents on participants needs and plan of care
- Conduct behaviour or curriculum assessments.
- Monitor and track progress by keeping detailed daily records and information on the child’s challenging behaviour
- skill acquisition, and other aspects of the planned interventions.
- Maintain the clinical binder for each client not limited to, preparing datasheets, daily graphing, and adjusting programming based on the set revision and mastery criterion. Participate in agency initiatives to further enhance our supports and services.

**Qualifications**:

- **Must Speak Bengali to support with interpretation with family members**:

- Post-secondary education in Autism and Behaviour Science, Behavioural Psychology, or a related field.
- College diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth Worker and Developmental Service Worker may be considered.
- 1-year’s experience in delivering ABA-based programming an asset.
- Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) an asset.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Knowledge concerning cultural diversity and proficiency in other languages will be considered assets for this position.

**Requirements**:

- First Aid/CPR training
- Must have Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical
- Crisis Training,(CPI) Safe Management or UMAB

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: From $22.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Night Shift (preferred)
