Ourboro is looking for a passionate, entrepreneurial, and hardworking Investments Associate to join our company, to support the Investments team in asset due diligence, capital raising, investor due diligence, and market research for our revolutionary new business

**The Company**

Launched in 2022, Ourboro is an entirely new way to buy and own homes. We do this by solving the #1 barrier to home ownership - the down payment. We invest up to $250K in our customers’ homes. It’s not a loan, so there is no interest and no additional debt. Instead, as a partner, we buy a share of the future value of the home.

Once our customers move in, we offer programs and services to help preserve and increase the home’s value. When it’s time to sell, we participate in our fair share of the gains or losses. To date, we've invested over $15M alongside homebuyers.

Too many people are being priced out of the housing market because home ownership is currently all or nothing. We are here to provide an alternative. Not everyone has access to the bank of Mom and Dad, and we want to be there for those who could use the extra backup, every step of the way.

Ourboro selects and manages the co-buy transactions with homebuyers, while also acting as a manager for an LP Fund with institutional investors that is the source of our investment capital. In the Summer of 2021, Ourboro joined Peerage Realty Partner’s family of partner companies, providing a significant boost in our ability to meet our goal: create $5B in net new wealth for our homebuyers over the next 10 years.

**The Role**

The **Investment Associate **will join a growing and dynamic team that is currently deploying funds on behalf of its LPs. You will be the steward of the existing fund model, providing analysis and insights across the business on how we can make our product stronger - both for investors and our homebuyers. You will work closely with the CIO to ensure investments are managed appropriately and effectively - from advising on changes to our investment guidelines to investor reporting to liaising with potential investors on due diligence.

You will have the unique opportunity to build experience across a number of key investment management functions with the support of experienced and collaborative managers.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
To succeed in the role, you will need:

- Minimum 2 years of private equity and/or investment banking experience
- Strong financial analysis and financial modeling skills, with high proficiency in Excel. You will be expected to show this during the interview process.
- Strong ability to synthesize various analyses and outputs into an investor-friendly format
- Familiarity with fund administration and familiarity with residential real estate is a bonus

**Responsibilities**:

- Prudently underwrite incoming pipeline of property investments in accordance with investment mandate and risk limits
- Draft investor-facing material with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness
- Review and approve material improvement projects in the portfolio
- Translate and integrate product changes into the model - deliver insights to investment and product team to facilitate product updates
- Support Investments team in the investor due diligence process, addressing various requests for clarification and additional data
- Provide the market research and analysis needed to develop/update investment strategy
- Assist in the continuous improvement of the firm’s fund investment policies
- Support Investments team in drafting investor reports and updates
